Calgary has a number of very walkable, very cool shopping districts with boutiques, quaint shops, chic fashions and numerous hidden treasures waiting to be found.

Kensington Village.

Often described as vibrant and trendy, Kensington Village certainly is that, but not in the mainstream sense. While a couple of corporate giants have joined its mix of businesses, the area has long maintained an independent streak.​

4th Street, Mission.

What started as a French speaking community in the heart of Calgary has become a collection of trendy shops and restaurants along 4th Street in Calgary. Mission is home to vibrant flavours and restaurants for every taste.

17th Avenue.

The centre of Calgary’s nightlife and the ultimate place to see and be seen. With hot restaurants and cool boutiques, 17th as the locals call it, is where Calgary comes to play.

Stephen Ave.

This historic street is known for some of Calgary’s finest restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars along with an eclectic mix of boutiques and high-end retail.​

Marda Loop.

Marda Loop is both a shopping destination for clothing and accessories and a hot restaurant zone featuring a great range of ethnic restaurants, bars and contemporary diners.​

1st St. Village, Victoria Park.

Recently redeveloped, this vibrant area offers top-notch restaurants, nightlife destinations and boutique-style shops.​

SoDo (South Downtown)

Discover a stretch of art galleries and contemporary furniture showrooms along 10th, 11th, and 12th Avenues SW that make up SoDo (or South Downtown) community known as the design district.

9th Ave SE, Inglewood.

Whether you spend the afternoon digging through the vinyl at Recordland or getting the royal personal shopping experience at Espy, it’s easy to understand how this historical strip has experienced a bit of a renaissance in recent years and has become the mecca of Calgary’s shop local movement.​

1st Ave NE, Bridgeland.

Bridgeland might be known as Little Italy but has gained a reputation as the breakfast capital of Calgary and features several hole-in-the-wall restaurants you just have to try.​
