China Creek North parks offers a jogging track, playground and fields – with the high point of the park offering stunning views of the North Shore Mountains.

While Mount Pleasant is incredibly walkable, this growing community has established strong roots and its transit opportunities are endless. Vancouver’s Translink service incorporates Bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus and the West Coast Express.

The Mount Pleasant Community Centre is located at the intersection of Main St and Kingsway. There’s also a café and the Mount Pleasant Branch of the Vancouver Public Library,
There are two elementary schools in Mount Pleasant, Florence Nightingale and Fraser Elementary. Public secondary schools in the area include Sir Charles Tupper Secondary, Templeton Secondary and Vancouver Technical, while St. Francis Xavier, St. Patrick’s Elementary and St. Patrick’s Secondary are private schooling options. Great Northern Way Campus, which is supported by SFU, UBC, BCIT and Emily Carr School of Art, offers an incredible selection of post-secondary classes.
SHOP & DINE
The neighbourhood is packed with stylish breweries, vintage boutiques and eclectic eateries, creating a "hipster-preferred ‘"hood".
For many locals and visitors, the neighbourhood’s biggest draw is the incredible number of craft breweries paying homage to the history of Brewery Creek. Starting at East 2nd Avenue and strolling up to East 8th Avenue, you’ll pass at least a handful of tasting rooms, each showcasing the city’s thriving craft brew culture.
Main Street is a grand place to find eclectic eats that will take your taste buds on a journey to the Middle East, Malaysia, South India or Peru. This is also an ideal hood to nosh on health-conscious vegetarian and vegan fare.
Mount Pleasant is also a big draw for coffee cravers, who gravitate to some of the city’s most renowned coffee roasters and cafés.
The south-west corner of the community is the Olympic Village square, the perfect spot for to grab a beer while overlooking False Creek and the downtown core, the Olympic Village shopping district claims some of the city’s best patios and craft breweries, like the Craft Beer Market, Tap and Barrel, Steel toad and more.
