Hastings
East Side, Vancouver
Just west of Hastings-Sunrise, the neighbourhood of Hastings is a bit of a hipster hideout with a mix retailers, restaurants & coffee shops and residents who love being close to downtown.

The industrial waterfront now known as Railtown is dotted with trendy lofts, converted warehouses and a mix of tech hideouts, unique retail and cultural eateries.

Hastings is located on the east side of Vancouver and bordered by Hastings Sunrise, Strathcona, Renfrew and Grandview Woodlands.
Get Outside
The amenity rich Pandora Park is the largest park in the neighbourhood.
Although the community is dense in residential and commercial buildings, you'll still find a couple great parks in the hood.
There are several parks in and around the neighbourhood. Within its boundaries lies Pandora Park, where residents have access to basketball courts, tennis and pickleball courts, playgrounds and a fenced in off-leash dog park. To top it off, the park has an incredible view of Downtown Vancouver. On the south-west corner of Hastings is Woodland Park with its large open fields, a small community garden, playground and a field house. As a major highlight, Woodland Park shows its appreciation of First Nations art by displaying a totem pole just south of the field house.

The community features many elementary and top-rated secondary schools.
As is expected from a longstanding family-based neighbourhood, the choices for education are exceptional.
Elementary schools located in Hastings include Lord Nelson, Admiral Seymour, Sir William Macdonald and Britannia. Templeton Secondary, an excellent secondary school, is located in the south-east corner of the community. For those families looking for a private school, the institution of St. Francis of Assisi is your best choice.
We can’t talk about local amenities without mention of the iconic theatre, The Clutch. Located on Venables, The Clutch provides a mix of contemporary dance, music, theatre & visual arts.
